DREAM

The DREAM program is another fundraising ministry for our education ministries. It is based on the same premise as the H.O.P.E. program, but instead of groceries, the gift certificates are for 36 different retailers and restaurants (like McDonalds, Best Buy, Home Depot, J.C. Penney, B & B Theatre, Applebee's, Old Navy, K-Mart, and Blockbuster). Many of these retailers and restaurants donate over 5% of the face value of the certificate! Our local McDonald's donates 10% and Olive Garden/Red Lobster donates 9%! Although a limited amount of certificates are kept on hand, usually the certificates have to be ordered with a wait time of about a week. Order forms have a complete list of all retailers with the denominations available. You can ask for an order form at the H.O.P.E. table, from the school office, or the parish office. Look for it on the St. James web site as well. With a little planning, these certificates could make great birthday and shower gifts, and don't forget Christmas gifts! The McDonald's, Cracker Barrel, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, Perkins and Pizza Hut certificates are $5 certificates. Blockbuster, Wendy's, B&B Theatre and several others offer $10 certificates. Many others offer $20 and $25 certificates. So if you are planning a home improvement project or buying a big screen TV for the Super Bowl, buy DREAM certificates before you shop, and you will be gifting the education ministries at the same time! The profits are used by all of the education ministries in the same manner as the H.O.P.E. profits. If you have any questions, please call the school office.
