This year, we plan on having a fun, prosperous year in which we will all grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.  This year finds us once again focusing on the Lifelong Guidelines and the LIFESKILLS, as well as, our theme Growing Together, Faith, Family and Friends.

A reminder that all St. James Middle School students are required to complete the following  service hours :

6th grade    5 hours

7th grade    10 hours

8th grade     15 hours

(a total of 30 hours at graduation)

Students may not have all hours in one category of service.  Hours should be served doing church work, community work, and helping at schools.

Our Middle school students just completed a Leadership Retreat where groups were challenged to improve their personal leadership skills throughout the upcoming year. One of the highlights of our retread is Washing of Hands.

"So when we had washed their feet [and] put his garments back on and reclined at the table again, he said to them, 'Do you realize what I have done for you? You call me a teacher and master, and rightly so, for indeed I am. If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another's feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.'" ~ John 13:12-15

Eighth grade class officers and student council officers have recently been elected also. We are very excited about the leaders that we have in the middle school.

Curriculum and objectives for each discipline will be presented at Parent Information Night.

We are looking forward to a great new year with you!!
